This 12 cup muffin pan has been designed by the Maser Chefs of the Culinary Institute of America to perform to their high, exacting standards. Heavy aluminized steel construction guarantees an even heat and prevents warping. The light interior of this pan helps prevent over browning. Most non-stick bakware has a dark interior which tends to overcook the exterior of your baked goods while leaving the inside undercooked. This pan gives you a perfect golden finish to your cakes and other baked goods. There is an all around rim which keeps your pan stable, and offers a secure grip for easy handling. Each muffin cup has a 4 oz. capacity. We recommend not using metal utensils on these pans.

I received this muffin pan for a gift. It's a nice pan in many ways but I would have never purchased it myself. First of all, the price is high. It's very heavy which has pros and cons...won't warp like super light-weight pans but when filled with batter it is really heavy. The ends are extended to provide handles but because of this it can only go in a standard oven length-wise. If you put it in side-by-side with another pan, it is too long and the door will not close. Lastly, it is only useful for muffins as the cups are not large enough to accommodate paper cupcake holders. The paper cups fold in and do not make nice round cupcakes. The positive is that the non-stick coating is nice and it produces beautiful muffins. All in all it's not a multipurpose pan, it's too heavy for my liking, it's too expensive and it takes up too much space in the oven...not a winner in my book. I suggest looking elsewhere.

I also ordered another pan from Amazon when they were out of this one and promptly sent it back, as it was a featherweight compared to this. I'm so glad I was able to snag another one of these before they sold out again.
