When i first received this pan..i had my doubts. It sat off to the side for about 3 months and finally tonight, i decided to make some banana chocolate chip muffins and they turned out great! The crust on the outer layer was crisp! Just the way i like it. Nothing stuck to the pan, but i did butter it up. Clean up is a snap. Remember, do not wash cast iron pans with soap, just use a scrub brush and hot water. I will be purchasing more Sante Cabin cast iron!

these cups are not just bigger than the standard size ones, they are superior in quality as well.I have a few sets of the normal size cups and use them all the time and like them a lot. So for fun I thought I would try the BIG ones, and I was very impressed. They are thicker and have a much smoother texture on the inside that lends to the muffins falling out much easier.

these are nice and large. they work great. i always spray mine with cooking spray first. the muffins come out very easily and i have been making some really delicious muffins with these. so i am very happy with this product. they do clean up easy but sometimes i have to let them soak a while in soapy water and they rinse clean very easily.update: they work really great! they clean up easily. i have made so many muffins and even crispy topped biscuits in them. i ordered more of them and like usual i always wait till the price is right. these are the right size for my cooking... the extra large ones.

Oh my goodness; when one of my grandchildren told the School that his Grandma cooks and makes BUGS and cooked up animals from the ZOO; well, the School called, especially to the fact that their child was bragging of how good Monkeys were... all of us just about died laughing!I then said I would have a surprise for them .... I bought in BUGS and ZOO Animals (Nordic Ware also makes Garden Bugs - get that too; there are others that are fun and wonderful cake toppers - even for WEDDINGS!) and making them into muffins using up the mini-chocolate chips I had stored in freezer then decorated them. Taking them to School; they were all just astonished! Every child had a Zoo or Bug and as for the Teacher, well, she had to have the Goldfish" which I had it to look like Nemo for they would all be fighting over it.She had searched high and low for these things until she caved in to call the child's parents to find out where is these animal pans? They didn't know, had to ask me which I told them originally I have had them for years (Nordic), but they just got old the Zoo Animal pan originally had a Tiger while in lieu of the Tiger's place is now a Whale - I am still debating on another purchase of the new version. I had already purchased the replacement of the Garden Bugs and recycled the old one.HERE IS A HANDY TRICK - Whether it be cake or muffin or what-not; if you have a fast oven, turn it down by 10 degrees and let it bake just for 10 minutes longer.It pays to use BUTTER type PAM or PAM "Floured" Spray (if that is available) than the regular PAM Spray or a Store Brand; spraying it as if you were spraying a spray paint motion; turning the pan around so that it covers all the areas and then wipe with a paper towel or clean towel the top part.I do not use a toothpick in middle to see if they are done. I use a thin prong fork (old vintage) which I had cut off (it originally had 4 prongs) to 2 prongs in 2 areas) for small baking; touching the fork itself will tell you if it is hot and cooked, not just seeing if it is clean coming out.HOW TO MAKE THEM COME OUT FLAT BASED or BOTTOM: Let it sit for at least 3 minutes, using a flat heat proof pan, not recommended to use wax paper at this point; turn that heat proof pan or dish upside-down on top of the Nordic Ware Pro Cast; with oven gloves or mittens; quickly flip it over and allow to cool, this will cause the bottom ends to become flatten and smooth for at least 15 to 20 minutes. If the item is a cake, you can now use a large spatula as not to break or crack it and transfer over to a wire rack to further to cool on the cake rack. If your cake rack is wide, it is a good idea to put wax paper over it and poke holes all around it using a fork or blunt knife, then turning them once about half hour later. It will make a tremendous difference here. This is from my own personal experience.I have had other brands and generic types of pans, but none stood up or held up as superior as Nordic Ware, especially when details are imperative! (If you are a Cake Designer to Caterer - this is your reputation on the line!)

I wasn't sure if the cakes would come out as cute and pretty as the mold, but they really do! Since I'm not big on baking or cooking, I didn't go all the way and decorate them (and my little one hates icing anyway!), but it didn't matter - they still looked great! (And I think if you were to put icing on them, you'd really have to go all the way with different colors, crystals, etc. because then you'd lose some of the detail when you cover it up with the icing, so you'd have to work hard to bring it all out again!)

I was disappointed with the quality of this pan. The metal is fairly lightweight, not the chinziest metal I've seen, but only a notch above, and a far cry from professional weight stainless. However, there are no sharp edges or roughness.Because it is not a high quality polished stainless, it isn't the easiest to clean. Also there are lots of seam areas that are hard to clean. That said, I am using this muffin pan because I don't want to use any non-stick products in my home.

When we ordered them, we made a mistake. We assumed and you know what happens when you assume, that, since they were 6 cup pans, they were for Texas-sized muffins, not regular-sized cupcakes. When they arrived, we realized that they were simply half-sheet cupcake pans, making 6, instead of 12, regular-sized cupcakes. Since their brand and construction is identical to the 12 cup baking pans we have and like, they should be as good as those but, since we have no use for half-size cupcake pans, we gave them to one of the local church kitchens.

I am estimating here, but I believe that I have had this pan for around four years and it still looks brand new. I have not used it every week and sometimes I have gone as long as a few months without using it, but it has been used a considerable amount. The pan is very durable and not at all flimsy. It has a very substantial weight to it and the nonstick coating has held up very well. It is very easy to clean. I have baked some things directly in the pan without mini muffin cups as well as with paper cups and it has performed very well both ways. It is described as metal safe and I can attest that it is indeed metal safe. I have used forks and knives many times to remove muffins and can't detect any scratching at all. This is a professional grade pan on par with some of the best brands and I highly recommend it.

My husband and I were weary of looking at our pathetic metal muffin tins that were rusting more and more with normal usage over just a few years. We decided to invest in stoneware since we really like our pizza stone. We gulped at paying $20 for each 6-cup pan, plus $20 for postage. If you have some Christmas money to spend, these are definitely worth buying. They bake muffins, rolls, etc. very evenly and make them look beautiful. The cups are bigger than metal pans, so we feel like we're getting more to eat because the muffin is wider yet still plenty tall. I've made blueberry muffins several times and even with that sticky blue juice, clean-up is a snap! I pre-rinse my dishes in the sink then run in dishwasher (though don't know that the bleach is good for them), and even with a pre-rinse, the pans are clean to the eye. Even the baked shortening wipes out easily with no soaking into the stoneware. The only down-side is that the pans are heavy so don't know that I'd get them for a frail person. Made in Ohio made me very happy, too.

I am absolutely in love with all of my USA pans. They bake beautifully, are non-stick which makes them easy to keep clean with just a little soap and a wipe, stack nicely and even look good. The textured metal seems to help with even baking. This one is a real winner. I just made a pan of blueberry muffins that are sized to keep inches off the waist. Browned nicely and moist inside. I am giving away all my metal pans, including my cast iron (well maybe not ALL of it). These USA pans are going to last a life time. The pan is worth every penny I paid for it.

I own USA Pans: mini muffin, mini loaf, 14" thin pizza, meatloaf, 2 bread pans, 2 cake pans, regular muffin, individual pie, regular pie, 2 jelly roll and a cookie sheet. That should speak volumes. Heavy, nonstick, evenly browns, easy cleanup, stay new looking, baked goods fall out. I made low fat and calorie "brownie bites" in this pan yesterday, which were decadent and 90 calories each. Here are my tidbits: Remove baked product immediately as it will continue to cook and sometimes burn if cooled in these pans. Reduce cooking time and/or temperature with these pans. If you are limited on funds, you absolutely don't need all that I have. The 14 inch pizza pan makes a great biscuit pan or small cookie sheet. The jelly roll pans make great pizza pans and/or cookie sheets. The cake pans make great deep dish pizza pans. Don't bother with the pie pan because you can't cut on these pans and would have to purchase a nonmetal knife to slice the pie. You don't need a "brownie bites" pan when you have a mini muffin pan and a circular well is easier to wipe out then a square well. A regular muffin pan is just a mini loaf pan with a different shape.

I bought this mini muffin pan after my favorite non-stick mini muffin pan's finish started to chip. The recipe that I use most often with this always stuck like crazy with my old pan, even with me spraying it every time. I had one mini muffin pan that wouldn't stick as bad, but even it stuck some. So, after reading the reviews, I bought it, but thought for sure it would still stick. Boy was I wrong! I would give this thing 10 stars if I could. The first time I used it, I sprayed it with non-stick cooking spray and the muffins just slid out so easy and left no residue behind. I was so amazed, then my husband suggested that I not use any spray at all since it does eventually ruin the finish on pans, so I tried it without any spray or grease at all and it worked just as well. I don't understand how this miracle pan works, but I want EVERY pan they make! I'm hooked. I've already purchased 3 different USA pans for my best friend and 1 for my mother-in-law for Christmas. I can't wait to try them all. The other great thing about these pans is that they are made in the USA, which is difficult to find these days, so what are you waiting for? You won't regret this purchase.

These pans have already paid for themselves! They are great not only for muffin tops (which toast perfect in toaster!) I also mixed up some scrambled eggs/whites poured them in after spraying with non-stick spray, bake and you have perfect egg patties to freeze for Breakfast/snack "EggMcMuffin" sandwiches to go! I also am going to try a recipe that calls to make chicken meatloaf in regular muffin tins in these instead. Also using them for my Veggie burger patties. Used them to make cake tops--just reduced sugar cake mix and water-The kids loved them! I am a Lifetime member with Weight Watchers, so the portions/sizes work out great. Clean up is a breeze--just make sure you use good non-stick spray. I would highly recommend these.

I bought this pan to use for making gluten free hamburger buns and English muffins. My favorite gluten free baking cookbook suggests using pans that are not non-stick. This one works fine. It makes great buns and English muffins that fit well in the pop up toaster. I'd recommend it. Having read the other review, I'm going to try it for some regular baking as well.

I used this the first time to make brownies. I had noticed my children only wanted to eat the tops of muffins and cupcakes. Then I saw this cool little pan. Size wise, it actually is pretty large. Nowhere in the product info does it indicate the size of the pan. Mine measures 11 1/4 x 15 3/4 inches. Makes great, ok, HUGE muffin tops. Each top measures 4 1/4 inches. I really like that is does not have non stick on it. It is hard to find quality pans that do not have non stick. I will purchase other Fat Daddio's products in the future.oh, make sure not to over fill those flat cups. I did the first time and was lucky my non-stick spray had gone over the cup. It cleans up very quickly, much easier compared to regular muffing cups.

I usually don't write reviews on products. Wilton didn't put a lot of information on the packaging for this product so I thought that I would give you a run down on my experience. Here are the keys things to do when making brownie pops:1. Make the brownie mix (I used Pillsbury). A box mix makes about 24 pops. I bought 2 pop pans to save time.2. Spray the pan with cooking spray.3. If you have a cookie scoop put one scoop in each "pop" otherwise fill 2/3 full.4. Bake for about 30 min on a level baking sheet. Make sure it is not a baking sheet that warps in the oven.5. When the pops come out of the oven some of the tops may not be flat. Take a spoon and push all of the tops so they are flat.6. When you take them out of the oven let them completely cool. If you try to take them out early they will break apart. I put mine in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make it faster.7. Remove them from the pan very carefully. Place them round side up. I was making pumpkin shaped pops so I wanted the stick on the rounded side. You can also add the stick on the flat side part way through baking. If you do this skip #8 & #9.8. Take a Lollipop stick and make a hole in each pop.9. Melt some chocolate chips. Put the melted chocolate in a icing tube and pipe the chocolate into each hole. Place a lollipop stick into each hole right away. Let them set. I put them into the refrigerator again for about 15 min or so.10. For the icing I made a powder sugar icing. Which is sifted powder sugar, a little water and vanilla. You can also use a petits fours icing. Make sure the icing is not too thin otherwise you will be able to see brown through the icing. You will have to play with the icing consistency.Hope this helps! Overall I thought the brownie pops where fun to make and you can tailor them to any occasion.

Wilton Round Brownie Pop MoldI bought this on sale locally and tried it today to make favors for a work party. I really like it. The difference in the previous review's issue is that I decorated the pops as illustrated in the "serving suggestion" pictured on the product's wrapper. If you put the sucker sticks in from the rounded end and decorate the flat tops (what is face-up in the pan as they bake), they look pretty darned cute. I used Wilton's Cake Release in the pan, and the brownies came right out, maintaining the pop shape. Used buttercream frosting on the flat edge, dipped in various sprinkles and nuts, the drizzled white frosting around the brownie bottom. Totally cute!

I ran the silicone molds through the dishwasher, as instructed, and the brownies wound up tasting like dishwasher detergent. Yuck. They also were a pain to remove, even though I had used a spray oil, as instructed. It was easier to remove the brownies from mini muffin tins. All around nothing I would buy again.

I bought this as a fun activity for me and my three year old daughter. Out of the box you get the donut maker itself (which is about the size of a small George Foreman grill) with an attached power cord, and a small instruction/recipe book (which has only one or two recipes in it). The cooking surface is Teflon-coated. It is a truly bare-bones setup but then again you don't really need a whole lot with this.Setup is a breeze: Just plug it in and close the lid. After a few minutes the red "heating" light goes off and you're ready to go. Lift, fill the six reservoirs with appropriate batter, close, wait about three minutes and you're done. So far we have made chocolate donuts from brownie mix, and yellow and spiced apple donuts from cake mixes. All came out very nice. The cake mix-based donuts cooked a little faster than the brownie mix-based ones.Each donut is about 2" in diameter with about a 1/2" sized hole in it. One thing that maybe is worth noting: This is a donut machine, not a donut HOLE machine. You will not get tiny-sized "Munchkins" from this machine, only tiny donuts.TIPS: Use a pastry bag (or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off) to fill the donut molds to avoid spills on the cooking surface. (Be careful with plastic bags or with plastic pastry bag tips; don't let plastic touch the hot surface!) Before filling, wipe the bottom half of the donut molds with some vegetable oil on a paper towel. Use a wood dowel or wood toothpick to remove the donuts; the donuts will flip right out without any sticking. DON'T use cooking spray as it gets everywhere and is hard to clean up (see "the bad" below).THE GOOD: Very fast donuts, perfectly sized for small children and as a novelty for adults. Easy to use and difficult to screw up; as a test I let some donuts sit for almost eight minutes and they were just fine (and only a little bit dry). It is also a potential calorie control solution; one box of brownie mix easily netted about eight dozen mini donuts, so rather than scarfing down a big fat(tening) brownie you can get a quick chocolate fix from one or two little donuts. :-)THE BAD: The permanently-attached power cord is a potential hazard; I would have liked to see a safety cord that pops out of the unit if tugged on accidentally. OTOH, the power cord is so short (no WAY it will reach the floor from a kitchen counter) that it shouldn't really be that much of an issue. Also, the baking surfaces are not removable from the unit so you can't just lift them off and throw them in the dishwasher. Then again, if you oil the surface properly (see "tips" above) nothing sticks to it and there's hardly any clean-up.I would dispute the claim in the description above of it being "safe for even the youngest baker". An EZ-Bake oven is generally safe for young bakers; this, given that the cooking surface is much hotter than a light bulb and has no protection against tiny hands, is NOT the definition of safe. This is not a child's toy nor is it safe for (unsupervised) children. This is a kitchen appliance and should be treated as such.For an under-$20 kitchen gadget this is tough to beat. You can literally get hundreds of little donuts for very little money. However, be aware of the time investment; this machine only makes six donuts at a time and the average box of cake mix will make around 100 donuts. That's about 16 batches per box. At about five minutes per batch (including oiling the donut wells, pouring the batter in, cooking, and removing the donuts) that's about an hour and a half of work for a single box of cake mix. Since it does cook so fast you can't pour batter in and then go fold laundry for awhile. You have to babysit the unit and keep it going lest you burn up your donuts (which, admittedly, is difficult to do). Just be aware of the time investment and, unless you plan on sacrificing that time to making donuts, you might want to divide up your cake/brownie mixes into smaller batches.I've only had this machine for about two weeks so I can't speak of longevity. Unless I update this review at a later date with more info, assume that the unit is still working properly. :-)

I just bought this donut maker, and I am really liking it. I didn't know quite what to expect since these are made very differently from deep-fried donuts, but except for a different texture, they are very much like mini-size donuts found in the grocery store. It is really easy to mix up the batter and cook up a bunch of donuts.It is actually a little hard to burn them, as they brown nicely and don't blacken quickly. I dipped them in butter and then a sugar/cinnamon mix, and the result was delicious. Looking forward to finding more recipes!****3/17/2011After using for several months, I have not yet found something to dislike! I have used a couple different recipes, with very positive results. Every person who has tried them is a fan, giving me some measure of celebrity status. :) They are also great with coffee!

I bought this donut maker for portion control! My husband loves chocolate baked goods. Of course this little snack machine makes tiny donuts that do not taste like donuts you get from a donut shop, however, these do taste like cake donuts. I found nice recipes online for free. Many websites have baked donut recipes that will work.I made chocolate donuts that did not have a WOW factor! I am a baker so I improved the recipe by adding a little more fat, sugar and salt (of course we all love that). Now they are lighter and more tasty. Next I will try a recipe for Vanilla donuts with chocolate frosting and again I will improve the recipe.You can make master mixes from any recipe by mixing together the dry ingredients and pack them airtight. This makes it easier to bake from scratch. There is no end to what you can bake in this machine. Great for a little sweet snack.Use your imagination and have fun. This machine is very easy to keep clean. The donuts always come out easily. I put a tiny bit of vegetable oil in the donut wells before the first batch of 6. That is all you need to do. They pop right out using a toothpick after baking for 2-3 minutes.

This is a handy tool for making tartlets. The tamper is the correct size and shape and is very durable. Shaping the tart shells using a mini muffin pan goes very quickly. Do not purchase a smaller size tamper.

For Thanksgiving I created a dessert platter with bite sized goodies - cheesecake bites, streusel cake and pecan tarts. I used the tamper to create the tarts and out of the 3 desserts they disappeared first! The tamper was so easy to use. I'm glad I didn't have to use my thumb to form all the shells. The pecan tart recipe it came with was divine. I can't wait to make more desserts. Will definitely have to try making polvoron soon.
