BEWARE: Low Quality - cheap pan (SHOULD only cost $1)I recently purchased this pan because I wanted something smaller than what I had.I purchased the item not knowing how to compare muffin pans, so I chose the cheapest one that looked like it would do the job.The thing looks/feels/weighs like a disposable aluminum pan. I even used a magnet on it to make sure that it is not aluminum (it isn't). When I have both hands on it, I feel like i am going to bend it. My good quality (12-muffin) pan weighs ~38 oz --> So a pan half the size should weight a little less than half (~18 oz).How much does this thing weigh? 5 3/4 oz.It is not even 1/3 the weight of a decent quality pan!I bought this from amazon because I wanted something better than I can buy at dollar-tree, but after looking at this one --> I went to the dollar-tree website and FOUND THE SAME PAN.Don't waste your money on this. If you need the cheapest 6-muffin pan possible, go to dollar tree.I would try to return this, but the shipping alone would make this uneconomical. So I guess I am stuck paying $6 for a $1 pan.Please learn from my experience.

After reading the earlier comment about this pan being so light I noticed it looks exactly like the one I already have. So I weighed mine and it weighs 5.8 oz. Yes, it's relatively light, but I don't feel as negative about it as the other reviewer. For instance when we baked bran muffins last week it didn't bend or collapse. The muffins baked just fine. Nothing special, just okay, but definitely not horrible.

Yes, it is probably lousy for actually baking with, but that isn't why I bought it. In my Toddler Busy Book, there is an activity that required a 'muffin pan'. I have a high-quality pan in my pantry, but didn't want my 2 year old messing with that one. So, I got a cheap alternative - this one. It fits his balls, kicky bags, and racquet balls with ease and is smooth all over, no risk of cuts from the metal. It is also lightweight and small (though probably wouldn't fit in my toaster oven either like a previous reviewer complained), which works great for my son since he can lift it and handle it without trouble. If you want an actual pan for baking, perhaps you should look elsewhere, but for fun game ideas with your little one? This is perfect!!!
