This is a handy tool for making tartlets. The tamper is the correct size and shape and is very durable. Shaping the tart shells using a mini muffin pan goes very quickly. Do not purchase a smaller size tamper.

For Thanksgiving I created a dessert platter with bite sized goodies - cheesecake bites, streusel cake and pecan tarts. I used the tamper to create the tarts and out of the 3 desserts they disappeared first! The tamper was so easy to use. I'm glad I didn't have to use my thumb to form all the shells. The pecan tart recipe it came with was divine. I can't wait to make more desserts. Will definitely have to try making polvoron soon.

I have been seeing the need for one of these in many recipes. When I saw that it was made inUSA is a plus. It came in 2 days - faster than I expected.Update: I just finished using the damper for pressing cookie dough crust into my springform pan and a pyrex plan. I was able to get a more even crust bed and not get my hands so gooey.
